Shell Landing Golf Club
About
Scenic Shell Landing Golf Club, which opened in 2000, wraps around wetlands and natural areas. Water hazards are prevalent but not overwhelming throughout, coming into play on eight holes.

Great
My wife and I went out behind two foursomes. I was prepared for a long day. We finished in less than 3 1/2 hours - Awesome. Course was in great shape. One of the best in the area.
Not visitor friendly
The course itself was excellent and in great condition. The pro shop attendant was barely polite. There was no starter, ranger, beverage cart, and no one mentioned the grill closed at 3 pm. It seemed like they expected club members and not guests.
Shell Landing
Great course, plenty of opportunities to shoot at the pin and plenty of danger if you miss!
Bunkers seem to always be in play and have to enter your thinking. It happened to be a windy day which added to the course difficulty.
I think I can shoot a better score, but don’t all golfers think that:)!
Nice layout
Greens were thin and very fast but true. Bunkers need a lot of work but it looked like they we’re getting ready to add new sand. Overall a great day. Maybe because I shot my age!!
Beauytiful wetlands layout
I was so looking forward to playing Shell Landing despite the high prices(even after 15% GolfNow discount) $74.
Following a heavy rain Friday night/Sat early am, the course was still under water in some spots including the sand traps. Hitting off mud quite a few times and driving carts through small lakes along the paths which should have been cleared off.
Also had to play cart path only which contributed to playing time of about 5 hours. In warm and humid conditions, I was pretty wiped out by the 15th hole or so.
I would like to try it again in the fall to see if conditions and care improve and cost drops.
Great track but living on its old reputation
Very unwelcoming staff. Indifferent and not interested in doing anything for the guests. The weather was bad so had lower expectations with the cart path only, no cart girl etc. But was taken aback that the practice Faciltiy was completely closed. Not really sure why other than I was told they can't collect plugged balls due to it being g so wet.
We had prepaid via golf now and got the feeling they didn't want us to play but didn't offer anything for closed range, lost golf balls in green Sode bunkers filled with water, flooded cart paths. Course really should have been closed. Just disappointing experience
Very enjoyable, good staff
Great staff, conditions, and experience. Unfortunately I left a good Titleist wedge that someone did not turn in but that is my fault, not the course! We will definitely return.
Never Disappoints
I have played this course many times. I live almost 2 hours away, but the drive is always worth it. Course was in good condition, as always. From the clubhouse to the starter, everyone was nice and professional. Heavy play this particular day, but didn’t have to wait hardly at all, and my foursome finished just under 4 hours. Highly recommend this course.
A must play on the coast
Drove over from Nola and course did not disappoint.Excellent course layout and conditions . People were friendly . Will def be going back ASAP.
Great condition
I took a much needed Mini vacation to Mississippi recently and was gonna play some golf while there last time I was there I played Sunkist CC(which I enjoyed) but I heard about Shell Landing from some of the locals I figured they would make it better than it really was but when I arrived I realized they were spot on from the practice greens to the driving range (which was closed due to rain was closed) was immaculate from the first drive to the final putt I was very impressed with the layout the condition of the course (even after a heavy rain the greens were still rolling at about 12) there was not any water anywhere even saw some employees squeegeeing(don’t know if I spelled that right)the fairways it was carts on path and It didn’t bother me one bit every green was perfect and rolled true( some wit a lot of contour)fairways were really good and pooped the ball up nicely good mix of holes the 17th was one of the prettier par 3s I have played....Davis love ||| really did a good job with this piece of property...people tell me to go play Grand Bear when I make it back but I think I’ll just go back to Shell 10 /10!
